1. Agreement
By downloading or using Clair you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Clair is provided by 7dev(“we”, “us”). These Terms incorporate Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”, apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/); where these Terms are silent, the Standard EULA applies.
2. The service
Clair analyses a selfie to estimate eight cosmetic skin-appearance markers, produces scores and a grade, and suggests a routine of over-the-counter products. Clair does not sell those products and is not affiliated with the brands mentioned; recommendations are informational only. Patch-test new products and follow brand instructions.
3. Not medical advice
Clair is NOT a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice, and its AI estimates may be inaccurate. Clair is for cosmetic self-tracking only. For any skin-health concern, consult a qualified dermatologist or physician.
4. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country). Clair works anonymously by default; Apple Sign In is optional to back up/restore your account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for only scanning your own face (do not scan another person without their consent).
5. Clair Pro subscription
- The first skin scan is free. Further scanning requires Clair Pro and is limited to once per week.
- Plans: €9.99 per week, or €119.99 per year (about €2.31/week). There is no free trial.
- Auto-renewable: billed to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Unused portions are not refundable except where required by law; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- Prices may change; we will give notice as required and price changes never apply retroactively to a paid period.
6. Apple-specific terms
You and Apple acknowledge: this agreement is between you and us, not Apple; we (not Apple) are solely responsible for the app and its content; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; in the event the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; we are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app (product liability, legal/regulatory non-compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual-property claims); you represent you are not located in an embargoed country or on a prohibited-parties list; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
7. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer, resell, scrape, or misuse the app or its analysis; do not upload unlawful content; do not attempt to circumvent scan limits or the subscription.
8. Intellectual property
The app, the “clair” name and marks, and all related content are owned by 7dev. Third-party brand and product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are referenced for identification only.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 7dev is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any skin/health outcome arising from reliance on the app; nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app and reflected by the date above.
